This task consisted of the class making a 60 second video as a “documentary”, which also had to include audio. The video had to be about my journey to uni.
The first time I filmed footage for this documentary, it was very foggy, and to be completely honest, I was not happy with it. It did take a couple of tries for me to get footage that I was actually satisfied with.in the end the documentary was a mixture of the different days I filmed on. I wanted to film footage of particular parts of my journey. This included my train arriving, the view from the train and more. I felt it was important to show the main aspects of my journey, but also add other things to make the video interesting. For this task I used Adobe premier to create the video.
The editing was not difficult to do (seeing as I found the LinkedIn learning video easy to understand). Personally, what I think was the “issue” was the footage I used. I think because the weather was not the greatest, and I often ended up rushing in the mornings, it might have been reflected in the documentary. For the future, I would definately plan my filming in advance, as opposed to just filming the parts of my journey spontaneously. Another thing that I would also do is remember to use a tripod, since some of my footage was a little bit shaky. Overall, I enjoyed making the documentary.
