With the second brief, which is for an upcoming event, I had decided to do a promotional animation for a new smoothie product (Five-Flavour smoothie) for the brand Love Struck smoothies. The ten-second advert would be shown on mobile apps, such as YouTube, Instagram, and even included on game adverts or even short adverts that are included on websites. The reasoning behind why I chose to do a smoothie advert is because I have always found them to be fun, and unique. There is no specific demographic for this product, I wanted it to be something that anyone can view. However, I feel that the primary audience, (and also the psychographic for this product) would be people that are into products specifically for health, especially those who enjoy drinking (and making) smoothies. This particular animation consisted of a stop frame that had three-dimensional objects (fruits). The purpose of the video was to show the making of the new smoothie, and the fruits that are going to be put in the smoothie. Stop motion was the app I used in order to create the animation. I tried to add in the “fun” element of smoothie adverts by making various patterns/ shapes out the fruit. I added in text alongside the stop frame, as well as music to go with my animation. The song I decided to choose was ‘Move Your Feet’ (Senior, J,2002), since it has an upbeat sound, and overall feel-good mood that I originally wanted to portray.
Senior,J, (2002), Move your feet, D-D-Don't stop the beat, Crunchy Frog
Love Struck (2021)
